Dr Prima Paul is an experienced General Paediatrician committed to delivering warm, family-centred care for children from birth through adolescence. She provides comprehensive assessment and management across the full spectrum of paediatrics, including problems in infancy, chronic and complex conditions, and developmental and behavioural concerns.
Dr Paul completed her MBBS and MD Paediatrics at St John’s Medical College, Bangalore, India, before serving as a Specialist Paediatrician at the Christian Medical College, Vellore. After relocating to Australia, she undertook further specialist training in General Paediatrics
and has worked across NSW including John Hunter Children’s Hospital, Maitland Hospital, Taree, and the Central Coast.

With more than two decades of paediatric experience, Dr Paul has developed particular interests in general paediatrics, developmental paediatrics, paediatric nephrology and paediatric neurology. She is known for her thoughtful, collaborative approach and her commitment to supporting families through every stage of their child’s growth and development.
Having lived in Newcastle for over 12 years, Dr Paul values long-standing relationships with families and the broader community. Outside of clinical practice, she enjoys music, singing, family time, and the outdoors.
