CONSULTANT PAEDIATRICIAN

Dr Shirleen Balbir Singh is a Consultant Paediatrician. She gained her medical degree from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland before moving to Australia in 2008 where she completed her training in Paediatrics and Child Health. She is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. She also completed a Masters in International Public Health at University of Sydney.
Shirleen previously worked at Sydney Children’s Hospital Network, Royal North Shore Hospital, St George’s Hospital and currently works at John Hunter Children’s Hospital. She specialises in children’s health of all ages from newborns to adolescents and has extensive experience in acute and complex general paediatrics. Shirleen is also a member of the Neurodevelopmental and Behavioural Paediatric Society of Australasia.
She is highly compassionate and places a strong emphasis on having good communication with her patients. Being a mum herself, Shirleen understands the stresses families go through dealing with a sick child and aims to provide support for her patients and their families.
